AccessLine Digital Phone Service, Featuring the Vertical Xcelerator Phone System
All of these important business features come standard:
Automatic answer mode
You may program your Desk Phone to work in 'Auto-answer mode'. In this mode the Speakerphone Key light flashes red, and when you receive an internal call you hear a burst of tone and the call is connected automatically.
Automatic line selection
This facility allows users to make external calls without having to enter the line access codes (9,8). Automatic Line Selection is turned on by default.
Call Blocking
Up to ten phone numbers can be blocked from reaching your phone when a caller attempts to call you from one of these numbers.
Call Transfer External
This feature allows an extension to transfer a call to an external number. The feature ties up two lines. Such calls are known as trunk-to-trunk calls.
Call Transfer Internal
This feature allows an extension to transfer a call to another internal extension. You can transfer a call to an extension when the extension has answered, while ringing the extension, or while the busy tone is being received from the extension.
Call Waiting from external calls
If you are on a call and your extension is presented with an external call you will hear a call waiting tone.
Class of Service
Each extension may be programmed for a Class of Service. This determines the type of call the extension is allowed to dial.
Conference Calls
This feature allows you to hold a three-way conversation between three extensions, or between two extensions and an outside call, or between two outside calls and an extension.
Desk Phone Ringing Tones
You can select from multiple ringing tones.
Distinctive Ringing
Distinctive ring cadences can be selected allowing adjacent users to tell which phone is ringing. It also provides different ring tones for internal and external calls.
Do Not Disturb
If your extension is set to 'Do Not Disturb', anyone trying to call you will be sent directly to your voicemail box.
Extension Lock
This feature allows you to lock your extension to prevent unauthorized users from making external calls. You use a Lock Password to lock, unlock, or to make calls from a locked extension.
Extension Names
You may assign names to extensions. This name will be displayed on your phone.
Fax Machine Integration
Fax machine integration allows you to plug in your fax machine and receive and send faxes without having a separate fax line. There is nothing special you have to do to send or receive a fax.
Forwarding Calls
Forward all calls from your extension
Before you leave your extension, you can forward all your calls to ring at another extension. Alternatively, you can forward all external calls presented to your extension to an external number.
Forward calls when your extension is busy
The 'Forward When Busy' feature allows you to forward all your calls to ring at another extension if your extension is busy (engaged). Alternatively, you can forward all external calls to an external number if your extension is busy. In this case, internal calls will not be forwarded but will be given the busy tone.
Forward calls when your extension does not answer
The 'Forward On No Answer' allows you to forward all your calls to ring at another extension if there is no answer at your extension after four rings. Alternatively, you can forward all external calls to an external number if your extension has not answered after four rings. In this case, internal calls will not be forwarded but will continue to ring your extension.

Forward a message from a Desk Phone
A user can forward a message from their voice box to another voice box.
Headset Mode
Your Desk Phone is equipped with a socket for a Headset.
Music on Hold
When an external call is placed on hold, the caller is presented with hold music.
Paging
The 'Page All Desk Phones' allows any extension to make an announcement over the speakers of all Desk Phones. Only Desk Phones that are page-protected will not be paged.
Record your own Voice Mailbox greeting
Each extension, which has been allocated a Voice Mailbox, can record its own greeting.
Redial
Use the Redial feature to redial the external number you most recently dialed.
Saved Number Redial
In addition to the Last external number the previous 10 numbers dialed are also stored and may be redialed.
Speed Dial Directory list
Each extension can program up to 400 Individual Speed Dial numbers.
Voicemail
Every extension is allocated a voicemailbox by default. Voicemail features include:
  • Delete, skip, or save messages
  • Send messages to another mailbox
  • Playback control when receiving messages
  • Change personal greeting and password
  • 4 hours of recording time (for entire phone system)
  • Message key to access voicemail
  • Numeric message count indicator
Automatic Network Time & Date Sync
The Xcelerator can (and should) be configured to periodically update system time from NIST and other sources. For example, event logs, phone displays and voicemail use the system time to inform the user of what time it is, when calls were made or received, and when system events happened.
Call Operator
The Xcelerator can be configured to queue up to six calls at a time to be routed by the operator to internal extensions or external phone numbers.
Call Progress Tone generation/detection
The IP2007 phones and Xcelerator can recognize and/or generate busy, do not disturb, message and incoming call waiting indicator tones. For example, when you are on a call, and a second call comes in to your phone, the phone beeps to let you know that you have another call on your line.
Caller ID (Number)
When you receive a call, you will see the calling party's number. Seeing the number is dependent on whether the network supports these features.
Daylight Savings Time
The Xcelerator follows international DST rules for changing time of day. These rules follow an Internet standard, but can be manually over-ridden and configured if so desired.
Extension Password
IP2007 phones can be configured to require a password for use. The lock can be turned on or off by the IP2007 user.
Multi-Call Appearance
The IP2007 phones can support up to two simultaneous calls (e.g., call appearances). These can be from the network, from the PSTN ports, or from internal extensions.
3-way Conferencing
The IP2007 phones allow three callers to be joined in a call together in a conference.
Direct Inward Dialing (DID)
The Xcelerator can map phone numbers (e.g., DIDs) to internal extensions. For example, the system can be configured to assign 206-555-1212 to extension 101.
Call Forward Always
The IP2007 phones and Xcelerator can be configured to forward all calls received at an extension without ringing the extension to voicemail, another internal extension, or an external number such as a cellphone.
Mute and Volume Control
The IP2007 phones allow the users to raise the volume of the ringer, the speakerphone, and the audio or to mute the microphone on the speakerphone or handset with buttons.
On Hook Dialing
A convenience that allows the user to "...just start dialing..." without first choosing a trunk, initiating the call on the first configured and available SIP or PSTN trunk.
Personal Directory
Each IP2007 phone has a personal phonebook with 400 positions. Calls can be made directly from the personal directory. Received, dialed and missed calls from the call lists can be edited and saved to the personal directory. In the event that incoming calls have a recognized DID in the personal directory, the name associated with the incoming number is displayed on the phone, regardless of whether the originating network sent the calling name or not.
Alphanumeric LCD Display
The IP2007 phone LCD display can show names, numbers and some other ASCII characters like ", @, etc.
Voice Activity Detection (VAD)
The Xcelerator can be configured to conserve upstream bandwidth by detecting silence on a call, and compressing upstream IP traffic on the network.
Echo Cancellation: G.168 for each voice line
Echo cancelation improves the sound quality of voice by minimizing or eliminating background noise or feedback.
Message Waiting Indicator
The IP2007 has a red LED that blinks indicating that the user has voicemail.
All Page/Intercom
Paging allows you to speak to all phones at the same time through the speaker phone. Paging is used to make announcements such as "Jim, you have a visitor in the lobby" or to let people know about a parked call such as "Susan, you have a call holding on Park 2."
Call Park and Pickup
Parking a call is very similar to putting a call on hold. The key difference is, when you put a call on hold you can only retrieve the held call from the phone that put the call on hold. With Call Park, you can put a call on hold and pick it up from ANY phone. Up to 4 calls can be parked system-wide at any given time.
Custom Hold Music/Message
Record you own music or special hold message for your callers. Your custom hold music or message can be easily installed remotely by AccessLine Customer Care.
Named Ring Groups
Named Ring Groups allow you to know which Ring Group (of the 2) was called by viewing the LCD display on the phone. This is ideal if you run two businesses from one location because you will know how to answer the phone based on what shows on the screen
Remote Voicemail Access
Remote Voicemail Access allows you to call a specific local phone number to retrieve messages or manage any aspect of your voicemail box when away from the office.

Automated Attendant
Digital Phone Service Automated Attendant provides you with flexible call forwarding and a professional image for your incoming callers:
Automated Menus
Auto Attendant allows you to configure menus of keypad options based on your specific business needs. Menus allow callers to use the phone keypad to reach the people, departments or information they need.
Receptionist Routing
Your Auto Attendant number, when called, can deliver calls to a specific number (usually a receptionist) and if that number is busy or unanswered, Auto Attendant will route the caller to a menu of options so the caller can still reach the person or information they need.
Bulletins
Bulletins provide outgoing information to callers such as hour of operation, driving directions etc.
Dial by Name
Dial by Name allows callers to enter the first few letters of a person's last name. Provided a match is found, the system will transfer the call to the appropriate person's phone number.
Ordered Hunt Groups
Ordered hunt groups allow you to create list of phone numbers that are called in a specific order. The caller is placed on hold and is played hold music. The first person in the Hunt Group to answer the phone will receive the call.
Simultaneous Hunt Groups
Simultaneous Hunt Groups allow you to create list of phone numbers that are all called at the same time. The caller is placed on hold and is played hold music. The first person in the Hunt Group to answer the phone will receive the call.
Call Transfer
Receive a call through Auto Attendant and transfer that caller to any other phone or extension.
Voicemail
Each Auto Attendant comes with a built in voicemail box. Voicemail messages may be listened to from any touch-tone phone or through the Web.
Web Administration
Each Auto Attendant comes with an easy to use Web administration web site. Through the web site, you may change or modify virtually all aspects of your service including creating or changing Menus and Bulletins, setting up or changing the Weekly Schedule and much more. Message notification allows any pager, cell phone or email address to receive a short message alerting that a fax or voicemail has just been received.
Automatic Call Back
When a voicemail message is left in your Auto Attendant voicemail box, the system "captures" the caller's phone number and allow you to call that person back by touching 2 keys while listening to the message.
Scheduled Greetings/Menus
The Weekly Schedule feature allows you to automatically activate different Menus based on time of day and day of week.
Script Generator
Once a Menu or Bulletin has been created, print out a script template to assist you in recording the greeting.

Conference Number
Toll-Free Access
With Digital Phone Service Conference Number, every Conference Calling account comes with Toll-Free Access, to create a user-friendly experience for your important contacts and customers.
Web Interface
Digital Phone Service Conference Number offers a complete set of online management tools for your Conference Calling number; change your PIN, schedule your conference calls, chat online with our service reps, and more.
Always-On Conferencing
With Digital Phone Service Conference Number, you never have to worry about whether your Conference Calling number is available; it's always on! You can hold up to 5 on-the-fly conference calls at the same time, with up to 25 participants.
Scheduled Conference Calling
If you'd like, you can always set up a pre-scheduled conference as well, using our online web interface. You can set them up to a year in advance, with up to 100 participants (25 speakers and 75 listeners). You can even hold up to 30 simultaneously.
Conference Calling Duration
"Scheduled" Conferences can be up to 8 hours in duration while "Always-on" Conferences are pre-set for a duration of 4 hours.
Early Arrival
Your participants can arrive up to 10 minutes before the start of the conference.
Host/Guest Codes
With Digital Phone Service Conference Number, you can give every conference call its own guest code, for secure management of attendees! Each call can have its own host code as well (don't worry; if you get confused on who is the host, Digital Phone Service Conference Number will accept multiple hosts on a call).
Host Controls
With Digital Phone Service Conference Number, the host is in complete control of the call. A host can add time to the call on-the-fly, can mute all participants on the call, or can be immediately connected to Customer Support.

WebFax Account and Mailbox
Digital Phone Service WebFax provides the convenience and flexibility unavailable with traditional fax systems without the cost and hassle of maintaining extra phone lines and fax machines. WebFax service provides you with a single local or toll-free number that allows you to receive faxes without worrying about busy signals, ink, or paper. And, with WebFax you can send any document from your PC to any fax machine without any special hardware. You just need to be connected to the Internet and have installed the WebFax Fax Upload software.

When your WebFax account receives a new fax, you are immediately notified via email, pager, or text messaging to your cell phone that you have a new fax. Faxes are stored on our secure system allowing you to access your fax online with your personal PIN. Once logged in you can view your faxes or forward them to your printer, any fax machine, or email address.

Additional Features
VoiceMail Box
As with any phone system, if all the lines are busy, no one will be able to leave a voicemail. The solution is our optional network-based VoiceMail Box. This "mailbox in the network" will allow any caller to leave a voicemail, even if all your phone lines are busy!
Inbound Caller ID with Name
Inbound Caller ID with caller Name shows the caller name and phone number on the LCD screen of the phone when a call comes in.
Vanity Number
